ELECTED VOLUNTEERS SERVING YOUR COMMUNITY
|
The Board of Directors is a group of five volunteers who are elected by the homeowners in an annual election held for that purpose. Once the Board is elected by the homeowners, the Board decides who will hold the positions of President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Any vacancies on the Board are filled by the Board at their discretion until the next Annual meeting when some, but not all, of the Board seats are available.
In the first year, the three elected Board members with the highest votes will serve for two years. The others will serve for one year. After that, elections are for two years. In the first election after the initial election, the two seats serving one year will be up for election. The following year, the original three seats serving for two years will be up for election. And the process continues from year to year. The only exception to this process is if the Board appoints a person due to vacancy. In that case, that seat is up for election at the next annual election.
Remember, all of the elected Board members are volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and effort to the well-being of the Fox Ridge community. Because they are volunteers, they often have to juggle their own careers, home life, and other volunteer service in addition to the demands of Fox Ridge. Because of these high demands, the Board members' primary method of communication is via e-mail. This provides the opportunity for the Board members to communicate efficiently.
